Altenew November 2019 Stamp/Die/Stencil Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hey friends! Guess what? Altenew has another fabulous release and I have a few projects to share with you using a bunch of gorgeous new products!

First up is this layout of my cute girl all dressed up for her role in "Into the Woods". The new Poppy Garden Stamp Set was perfect and I painted the flowers to match her hair accessories.

I included some butterflies from the new Mariposa Mix & Match Die Set. I cut them in white and vellum so they didn't take away from the flowers, but still added to the whimsy.

I can't seem to stop using the Bold Alpha Die Set for my titles, and I'm not mad at it! I cut it from some wood paper I had in my stash. Fun, right?

Next, I created a layout focusing on the new Stone Mosaic Stamp Set.

By using soft colors, it looks less like stone and more like confetti, which worked out perfectly for this baby story.

I created my title with the Bold Alpha - again - but I also included the brand new Handwritten Hello Die. I just love how delicate it is!

I also threw in the moon stamp and phrase from the new Mini Moon stamp set. I think it works perfectly for a baby layout! I recorded my process for this layout and you can watch it below.

Last, but not least, I created a card using the Stone Mosaic stamp set. This time I made it look more like stone.

I used a portion of one of the sentiment stamps + those handy Bold Alpha Dies to create a custom tile and I think it's such a great masculine card.

To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 6 lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or Altenew Scrapbook Blog by 11/13/2019 for a chance to win.

We’ll also draw a winner to receive a $20 gift certificate from the comments left on each designer’s blog on the blog hop list below. All winners will be announced on the Altenew blogs on 11/16/2019.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope to see you again soon!

25 Days of Christmas Tags!

Hello! Today I’m excited to share something a bit different with you - a Christmas tag! Each year Tracy McNeely hosts this fun event, collaborating with a bunch of different companies. Today I’m happy to be representing Altenew and here is the tag I created!

The Big World Stamp Set is one of my faves and I decided to use it for a Joy to the World tag. I started by messily stamping and embossing the large image from the Faceted Stars Stamp Set on my kraft tag.

I added a bit of gold splatter and then popped my globe on top. The sentiments in the stamp set weren't exactly Christmas oriented, so I hand-lettered the words "Joy to the" to combine with the "world" stamp.

Super easy and I love the way it turned out. I hope you'll head over to Tracy's blog to find out more about her 25 days of Christmas tags and find lots of inspiration!

Here's a look at all of the companies participating in this fun event!

Altenew Build-A-Flower: Lavender Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

The Build-A-Flower Stamp Sets from Altenew are some of my favorites and Lavender is a gorgeous one! It's perfect for card making and I created two to share with you today.

On the first card, I wanted to use the flowers in a traditional purple color scheme. I used the Shades of Purple Mini Cube Set along with some minty greens for the stems.

I wanted the create a background for them to pop off of, so I used the linear stencil with Arctic Ink and concentrated on the lower half of the card. I heat embossed the greeting and added a few clear dew drop gems from my stash.

On the second card, I thought it would be fun to stamp a bunch of grayscale flowers on my background and then have one in color for a pop!

I used some darker greens for the stem on this one and stamped my sentiment on a strip of white cardstock, popping the colorful lavender on top. I put it all on a light purple card base and I love the look!

So, as with all of their releases, Altenew has a very generous giveaway and a blog hop full of inspiration!

Altenew Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hey friends! There's another exciting release from Altenew and I am so excited to share it with you!

These metallic watercolors are beautiful and vibrant and I had so much fun creating a card with them.

I used the Color Wheel Die on some watercolor paper, saved all of the inside pieces, painted them in a rainbow of metallic colors and then inlaid them. I love that look!

I used the flower garden stamp set for a floral and a couple leaves, leaving it black and white so the focus would remain on the shimmery background. I heat embossed a simple sentiment on vellum to finish the card.

Ready for a giveaway and some awesome inspiration?

To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $30 gift certificate to 6 lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or Altenew Scrapbook Blog by 11/2/2019 for a chance to win.

Hero Arts + Altenew | Celebrating 45 years + a Giveaway

Hey friends! Guess what? Hero Arts is celebrating 45 years in this wonderful industry and Altenew has teamed up with them to bring you a gorgeous new stamp set - Bloom & Grow.

I created a simple, paper-pieced card using that large, beautiful floral!

I used the Altenew Warp Speed Stencil with some white ink on a kraft background and cut it in half diagonally for an interesting design.

It's really hard to see in the photos, but I added some shine with a Wink of Stella shimmer pen. That large floral is such a great focal point that I didn't have to do much else!

Hero Arts and Altenew are both giving away prizes to celebrate!

There will be 3 prizes, drawn from comments left across the blog hop:
- One winner will receive the stamp set!
- One winner will receive a $25 shopping spree at Altenew
- One winner will receive a $25 shopping spree at Hero Arts

Hoppers have until Sunday, October 27th to leave their comments, and the winner will be announced on the Hero Arts blog the following week.

Be sure to leave a comment and hop along for more inspiration!

Altenew | October 2019 Stamp/Die/Stencil Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hey friends! It's time for another Altenew release + blog hop and there are so many things to love. I've created two projects, and I'll share the project without a process video first.

There are some pretty awesome string art dies in this release and I used the heart to add some fun detail to this intro for my 2020 6x8 Album that I call my "Whatever the Crap I Want" album.

I stamped images from the Wanderlust Stamp Set on the bottom of the page using Evergreen and Silver Lake inks and a little bit of Mountain Mist on the bottom. (Is anyone else geeking out about the fact that the ink names are all outdoorsy and fit perfectly with this set? Just me? Okay...)

Here's a closer look at that string art. I used white embroidery thread because I wanted the texture without a lot of visual weight.

I added the new 2020 Stamp Set in white on top of my photo and I love the way it looks. Because it's a 2x3 stamp set it has a great price-point and I think I could use it in my December Daily album next year as well.

The second project I created is a 12x12 layout and I was excited to share a fun foiling technique with you.

I used the new Truly Grateful stamp + die set to create these gorgeous flowers. One of the things I love about this set is the fact that it's a layering set with an outline included. Outline stamps work perfectly for the foiling technique I want to share with you (full tutorial in the video below).

I stamped the outline images using StazOn ink on the Heat Transfer Gold Foil and then traced the outline using the WeRMemory Keepers Freestyle Foil Quill.

Guys. It's super cool.

I stamped the layers of the flowers and leaves after I did the foiling. The foil resists the ink, so it works perfectly!

Here is my process video where you can get a closer look at how I created this layout.

And here's another look at the final layout:

So, ready for the giveaway info? Yep. That's what I thought.
