Altenew November 2019 Gradient Cardstock Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hey friends! It's time for another Altenew release and I have to tell you, I'm pretty excited about this one - Gradient Cardstock Packs! One of the best things about them is that they are sized perfectly to fit in your Mini Blossom Die Cut Machine. I don't know about you, but I cut almost everything with my small die cut machine because I can just leave it out on my desk!

There are six different packs and I love them all! They are perfect for the Altenew Layering Dies and I created several projects to share with you.

I wanted to play with all the colors, so for my first project, I made flowers using the Fantasy Floral 3D Die and three colors from each of the colorful Gradient Cardstock Sets and the darkest green from the Green Meadows set. I lined them up on the side of my 6x8 layout, matching them to the quotes I printed.

I thought the Mix & Match Mariposa Die Set accented the flowers perfectly. So fun!

Next, I wanted to try my hand at a fun ombre look on a scrapbook layout.

I focused on the colors from the Sea Shore, Shades of Purple, and Cherry Blossom Gradient Cardstock sets and just cut 1/2" strips and stacked them together. It kind of reminds me of thick icing on a cake and I looove it! I actually used leftover strips of cardstock from pieces I had already die cut and I think it worked out great!

I accented it with a few embellishments from the Live Your Dream Scrapbook Collection and some Wavy Outline Die Cuts that I had left over from a previous layout. I also stamped some images from my favorite Snap Shots Stamp Set.

Finally, I created a simple card using the Virginia Rose 3D Die Set

I focused on the Red Cosmos Gradient Cardstock Set and I think it's just beautiful. I seriously love that I don't have to dig to find cardstocks to coordinate. It's really so simple.

It's hard to see, but I dry embossed a stripes on the background for some detail.

So, are you as excited as I am to have this new resource for all your 3D dies (and other gradient ideas)?

Altenew November 2019 Stamp/Die/Stencil Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hey friends! Guess what? Altenew has another fabulous release and I have a few projects to share with you using a bunch of gorgeous new products!

First up is this layout of my cute girl all dressed up for her role in "Into the Woods". The new Poppy Garden Stamp Set was perfect and I painted the flowers to match her hair accessories.

I included some butterflies from the new Mariposa Mix & Match Die Set. I cut them in white and vellum so they didn't take away from the flowers, but still added to the whimsy.

I can't seem to stop using the Bold Alpha Die Set for my titles, and I'm not mad at it! I cut it from some wood paper I had in my stash. Fun, right?

Next, I created a layout focusing on the new Stone Mosaic Stamp Set.

By using soft colors, it looks less like stone and more like confetti, which worked out perfectly for this baby story.

I created my title with the Bold Alpha - again - but I also included the brand new Handwritten Hello Die. I just love how delicate it is!

I also threw in the moon stamp and phrase from the new Mini Moon stamp set. I think it works perfectly for a baby layout! I recorded my process for this layout and you can watch it below.

Last, but not least, I created a card using the Stone Mosaic stamp set. This time I made it look more like stone.

I used a portion of one of the sentiment stamps + those handy Bold Alpha Dies to create a custom tile and I think it's such a great masculine card.

To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 6 lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or Altenew Scrapbook Blog by 11/13/2019 for a chance to win.

Altenew Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hey friends! There's another exciting release from Altenew and I am so excited to share it with you!

These metallic watercolors are beautiful and vibrant and I had so much fun creating a card with them.

I used the Color Wheel Die on some watercolor paper, saved all of the inside pieces, painted them in a rainbow of metallic colors and then inlaid them. I love that look!

I used the flower garden stamp set for a floral and a couple leaves, leaving it black and white so the focus would remain on the shimmery background. I heat embossed a simple sentiment on vellum to finish the card.

Ready for a giveaway and some awesome inspiration?

Altenew | October 2019 Stencil/Washi Tape/Die Cut Tape Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hey friends! Guess what? Altenew has a totally new and totally awesome release of stencils, washi tapes, and die cut tapes. And I'm in love.

I used the new Bouquet Die Cut Tape along with the Linear Stencil on a layout and I had so much fun creating it.

The tape has a slick, vinyl-like surface, so I thought it would be fun to try coloring it with alcohol inks. Altenew sells alcohol based Artist Markers, which I don't have, but I used the re-inkers to create some gorgeous colors on the die cut tape.

I used my inked tape as a border on my layout and embellished with bits and pieces from the Live Your Dream collection and stuff I had in my stash.

The clear floral stickers happened to match perfectly. I adhered them to some cardstock so they would pop.

I added some stenciling behind my photo and on two edges of the paper. My title was die cut from white cardstock using the Bold Alphabet Die Set. I also die cut the letters from fun foam in blue and layered it behind the cardstock. I love this look!

I recorded the process and you can check it out below!

Here's another look at the final layout:

Ready for the giveaway info? I thought so.

Altenew | Refresh Your Watercolor Brush Markers Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hey friends! Welcome to another Altenew Blog Hop! If you love the watercolor brush markers as much as I do, you'll be excited about this one - there are now refills for them!

The awesome thing about the refills is that you can use them for so much more than just refilling your markers. In today's card example, I used simply as liquid watercolors. I poured a drop of each color from the Spring Garden set onto a palette and used them to watercolor a floral image from the Just Because Stamp Set.

A little goes a long way, so I was also able to create several backgrounds (I used watercolor paper) that I can use on future cards as well.

I chose some green stripes for the base of this card and heat embossed my sentiment in white. I also punched some little pink hearts from another background for embellishment.

I had so much fun playing with these refills! You can check it all out in the video below:

If you want to purchase your own brush marker refills, check out this awesome giveaway!
