December Daily® 2016 | Day 05

Hey friends. Wow. Can't believe Christmas is over. It went by so quickly! I was sick for about a week and got behind in my December Daily® progress, but today I wanted to share my day five with you as well as a little tutorial.

On the fifth day of Christmas we decorated our tree. So I decided to make a full page photo of it to back the full page photo from day four. Here's the photo...

Our funny little tree, crooked on top. So, I wanted to crop this photo to 7 x 8.25, but it was going to cut off either the top of the tree, or the skirt. And I didn't want to compromise. So, I decided to crop the photo in a way that allowed me to put a pattern on the right side and I love how it turned out!

I used Ali Edwards December Daily Transparencies (a digital version of the transparencies that were included in the 2015 and 2016 main kit) to put some pattern down the side. I kind of dig it. Probably going to do it again. I made a little video tutorial showing you how easy it was. I also added a digital stamp from the Jasmine Jones December Daily® Cozy Christmas stamps.

I used the same digital files with my silhouette + some watercolor paper (love it's sturdiness) to create the facing page. I added some gold glitter embossing powder to my number five and stapled a ticket from the main kit below it.

Kept it really simple. I think that's okay. It helps me to focus on the story and, most importantly, get it done.

I've linked to all available products below, except for Ali's which are linked throughout the post. Look for more December Daily® share videos/blog posts from me soon as I play a little catch up. And thanks so much for sharing some time with me. Truly appreciate it.

December Daily 2015: Days 14-25

Hello! It's been a while...therefore I have a massive post today with the rest of my December Daily® album. I'm going to get right into the photos, but if you'd like more explanation, be sure to watch the video at the end (I'll link to products at the end of the post as well). I also have a post about day 25 up on the Felicity Jane blog for you to check out as well.

Something I've learned through this process: Done is better than none. I have had fun creating, but not every layout is a masterpiece. And I have to be okay with that. I am really quite happy with the finished album and can't wait to look through it year after year.

If you'd like to see the rest of the album, be sure to check out this post, and this one, and this one. Today, I'll start with day 14.
