Stamping in Scrapbooking #1 - Too Much Fun

Happy weekend! Thanks to everyone who weighed in on the subject for my new series. I'm happy to announce that ten weeks of Stamping in Scrapbooking begins today!

Let's get to the layout. For the first lesson, I wanted to dive right in to the good stuff. One of my favorite ways to use stamps on scrapbook layouts is to create a pattern.

I took a leaf stamp from a Close to My Heart workshop stamp set (no longer available, but I linked to similar designs below!) and created a background with three colors of ink.

I used the ink pad + a craft mat + water to color in the leaves. It's pretty. :)

I also stamped a Heidi Swapp frame with an old Shimelle stamp from her Two Peas in a Bucket days. I think the package the frames came in are exclusive to Michael's or that no one has them in stock yet, because I couldn't find anywhere to link them.

I created a little cluster of goodness to the bottom right of the the photo. I love how layered clusters create weight and interest.

I finished off with a bit of roller date stamping. I use a roller date stamp on almost every layout. It's the best.

If you want to see how the whole layout came together, watch the process video on my YouTube channel or right here:

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you'll love this new series! I've linked to all available products below.

  1. Love everything about this page, I totally want to try making a background paper like this. I shy away from stamps because I'm afraid of messing up my page, but I've never given myself a chance to practice it, either.
