AE Digital Projects: Up Story Kit™

As many of you know, this has been a season of change in my life. And sometimes change is hard. And I've been struggling a little bit, if I dare to admit that. But the other day, I took a walk and listened to the Jason Mraz "Yes!" album and felt like I was listening to the soundtrack of my life. Particularly a song called "3 Things". So when I looked at the products for the Up Story Kit™ and saw the phrase "Things are looking up" (which is repeated throughout that song), I knew just the story to tell. I love that the Story Kits™ spark ideas like that.

Since I've been scrapbooking for a while, I really take notice of the moments I might want to document later and try to snap a pic. So glad I did that on this day. I had two photos - one is a selfie and the other is a photo of my feet where I intentionally left a lot of white space (the sidewalk) for potential storytelling opportunities. I used a digital stamp on the photo before I printed it and then wrote out the words to the song all around it. I decided to make it a horizontal 8.5x11 layout - something I've been loving lately - with a 3x8 insert for my selfie and journaling.

I added in a few physical embellishments from the Up Story Kit™ as well as some stickers and die cuts from the Tough and Firsts Story Kits™. Loving the simplicity of photos and journaling on important stories like these.
