Old Meets New Stash Kit: Love

Hey friends! I'm excited to share my first layout using the stash kit I created last week. I absolutely love the way this kit turned out and I was excited to put it to work. Here's what I created:

Sometimes it can be hard to dive into a new kit. Sometimes it can be helpful to focus on one patterned paper or one embellishment to kind of break it in. I chose my photo first, then started digging through my supplies. I realized pretty quickly that the Maggie Holmes Confetti chipboard pieces matched the story of this photo, so I used them as my jumping off point.

I added a little bit of Ali Edwards Cannon Beach acrylic paint and spray mist splatters to the top left and bottom right of the photo. Love the subtle texture and hint of pink and gold that brought. It also helps the paper layers blend into the background a little.

I used some Crate paper rub-ons and some stickers from the new Maggie Holmes Gather collection. Everything just came together so easily.

I thought including these mini tassels in my kit would be a challenge, but they were so easy to use here! I threw them in with the chipboard banner and I think it turned out really cute.

I also decided to include a few enamel dots as a finishing touch. You can pretty much never go wrong with enamel dots, I think.

My favorite part of the layout might be this little cluster to the left of the photo. I just love how everything is nestled in together like a puzzle. So good. :)
