Inspired By...with Juliet & Jen: Irit Landgraf

Do you ever create a layout that you aren't sure about in the beginning but it all comes together in the end? That is how this one worked out for me. I was so worried it was going to be hideous and that my inspiration (Irit Landgraf) would be horrified when she watched the video.

Luckily, I love the way it turned out in the end.

I played around with some mixed media on scraps of watercolor paper. I used mists, watercolors, distress paint, gesso, heavy gel medium and modeling paste with some stencils. Honestly, I was worried about the page after that. Watch the video. You'll understand why. Haha!

I used a floral die to cut shapes out of the mixed media bits and it created magic! Here are some close up shots.

I just love the way the crazy/messy papers come together when they are die cut. Beautiful!

I embellished with some chipboard stickers from My Mind's Eye and it really didn't need much else.

  1. That really turned out lovely! I wasn't sure about it while I was watching, but you really pulled it off. Your layouts always turn out amazing.
