My first December Daily...

This year I decided to do my first 'December Daily' album. If you have never heard of this, you should check out Ali Edwards' website. She is the mastermind behind this project. Basically you make an album with a page for each day leading up to Christmas in December. You can chronicle your month daily. I have mirrored her approach this year in many ways. Ali has done transparency sheets between each day and I really like this idea, but transparency can get pretty expensive...so I made my own with some blank printer transparencies I already had and some Staz-on ink. They turned out pretty good! Here are a few of my favorite pages...

Here is the cover. For some reason this took forever to do. I couldn't figure out what I wanted and I knew that the inside was going to be fairly simple so I wanted to do a little more outside. I love the end result. I especially love the cozy feel of the embossed (?) felt. It really lends to my title 'comfort and joy.'
...and here's a close-up.
(used my new i-rock for the little white centers of the snowflakes. Love it.)
And page 1. Every day has a transparency and then a neutral colored piece of cardstock with the day on it. (You can see that better in the next photo).

See. I really love the way the simple 'days' pages turned out.

Next are a few examples of different pages throughout the book. This one I didn't stamp, but just added some thickers and stickers to it.

This turned out being one of my favorites. I stamped snowflakes with white Staz-on ink and then used my handy i-rock again for the centers.

On a few pages I opted for a cut-to-fit baseball card sleeve. Here I will put random memorabilia from things we do on that day in Dec. Kind of love that idea. (Thanks Ali!) Also wanted to use this cute 'Graph' journaling tag I've been hoarding forever. I think I will use it to chart the growth of our Christmas excitement.

This transparency has to be my favorite. I love the way the pattern turned out. Classy.

Now I just have to decide how to bind it. I'm leaning toward O-rings, but I don't know if I want 2 or 3...
Can't wait for December to start so I can start filling this puppy up!
