interNational Scrapbook Day 2016!!

Happy interNational Scrapbook Day! I have a lot going on today, so I'm posting links to all of the challenges I'm hosting, as well as fun and exciting things that I have going on. Check it all out below! (I'll be updating links as the challenges are posted, so if you don't see it linked, it hasn't been posted yet!)

First and foremost...

STORY STARTERS CLASS
I am so excited to launch my new class, Story Starters! This is a smaller class than those I've done in the past and has a really low price point of $10! You can check out all of the class details in my shop or you can watch the promo video. I will be *giving away 2 spots in the class*, one right here on my blog (hint: the other one will be on my YouTube channel)! Just leave a comment below telling me your favorite thing about scrapbooking. I'll announce the winner on Monday, May 9, 2016.

FELICITY JANE FACEBOOK CHALLENGE
I am doing a recipe challenge over in the Felicity Jane Public Facebook group. Head over there to share your project and get all of the details on the challenge. You can also find my process video up on my YouTube channel HERE. There will be fun prizes and I know that Carol was planning to do a live video this morning, which should be viewable in the group. :)

SCRAP GALS COMMUNITY FACEBOOK CHALLENGE
I am also doing a recipe challenge in the Scrap Gals Community Facebook group. This layout uses 5 photos so if you are a multi-photo scrapper, you'll definitely want to check this one out! I also have a process video for this challenge that you can watch on my YouTube channel HERE. Again, I know the Scrap Gals will be doing prizes and have all sorts of inspiration, so be sure to head over there and check it out!

BIG PICTURE CLASSES CHALLENGE
BPC is holding a free online event and here's what they have to say about it:

It's time to party! National Scrapbook Day is here!
Join us all day today on this special crafting occasion! In celebration of this awesome holiday, we'll be hosting challenges and giveaways to inspire each other to keep the creative mojo going! Visit the "Lessons" tab to see all of the challenges, and be sure to upload your projects to the "Projects" tab here in the National Scrapbook Day class. All day long, we will be hosting giveaways on our social media, so follow along with us on Facebook and Instagram for a chance to win, and tag your projects #NSDBPC.
Plus, you'll have all week to play along!
The challenges will close Sunday night, 5/15 at 11:59pm EST. We will randomly select TWO winners for a 3-month membership and THREE goody bag winners from the challenge projects. Have fun!
I am hosting a challenge to use your handwriting for a title on your layout and I absolutely love the layout I created.

In addition to all of that, they are giving away a free NSD 2015 mini kit with every purchase from their shop! Pretty awesome.

CRAFTY JEN SCHOW FREEBIES
I'm really happy to be able to give you two freebies today - the Messy Script cut file and Living Life printable word strips.

I absolutely love the way both of these turned out and created a process video using them on a layout that you can watch below or over on my YouTube channel! You can download the cut file here and the printable word strips here.

Whew! That's a lot of stuff! I hope you'll go and check out my challenges and I hope you enjoy the freebies. Be sure to keep up with me on social media today because I'll be crafting and creating for most of the day and will post photos on Facebook and Instagram! I may even have an extra video or two on my YouTube channel!

Thanks so much for stopping by - always!

  2. Thanks, Jen! I am excited about your new class. It sounds like just I have been looking for. THere are two things I love about scrapbooking: the creative outlet (playing with color and getting mess) and documenting my daughter's life. :-) Let the iNSD fun begin!

  5. Thanks so much for posting all the great information and offering a class giveaway. I would love to win! My favorite thing about scrapbooking is when the photos, paper, embellishments and journaling all come together to make a balanced, eye-catching layout that I will treasure and be proud to showcase in my albums. There is no better feeling than that for this scrapbooker!

  26. My favourite thing about scrapbooking is getting the stories down with the photos and really chilling out when I am doing it! Could you let me know what you print those word strips onto? I've never printed anything like that out successfully from my computer so would love to know! Thanks :)

  27. Wow, thank you for the freebie and for all of the great links to different challenges. I'm looking forward to watching your video (I'm coming late to the iNSD party because of travel yesterday) and checking out challenges around the web.

I love scrapbooking because it combines my love of all things crafty with my compulsion to memory-keep. I have a terrible memory, and I want to remember all the little (and big) details-- and this way they are in a "pretty" form...even if it takes me a while to get them down on/in paper ;-)
