Collection Disconnection//Fancy Free #1: Best Birthday Ever

Hello and happy Wednesday! I'm excited to share the first layout in my second Collection Disconnection series with you today. Collection Disconnection is a series where I show you how to get a variety of looks and styles from a single collection. You can check out what I did with the Crate Paper Wonder collection last time on my YouTube channel here. This time around, I'm using the Pink Paislee + Paige Evans Fancy Free line and man, it makes my heart sing. The colors are just gorgeous!

I know that this collection has been highly anticipated and as a result, it's hard to get your hands on! I wanted to show you how you can still get a Fancy Free looking layout with just a few items from the collection.

I used only the 6x6 paper pad, puffy stickers, and glitter foam word Thickers on this layout and I definitely think it still has the look of the collection!

Because I was trying to limit my supplies, I turned to the 6x6 paper pad for part of my title and hand-cut the word "Birthday". I love taking ready-made titles (like "best ever") and making them into something that applies to my photos.

I ended up creating a grid style layout and used various patterned papers cut at 3x3 and 3x4. I typed my journaling on the blue painted ombre paper (swoon!) and the puffy stickers helped finish off the look.

I kept the embellishment to a minimum to really let the colors shine, but I did add some confetti-like splatters with some Heidi Swapp Color shine in Butter, Salmon, and Patina.

If you want to see how the whole thing came together, watch the video below.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you'll come again next week for another idea on how to use this collection.
