Stash Kits: Old Meets New - Happy Helper

I've got another layout using my September Old Meets New stash kit and I'm doing a Throwback Thursday. I found these old photos of my daughter and I thought it would be fun to do a reflective layout.

I don't scrapbook older photos very often, but my printer wasn't working so I looked through a stack of photos I already had printed and came across these photos of Malia helping Philip with the dishes. As I looked at them, I couldn't help but remember how much she loved "helping" with the dishes. And I thought about how much she hates doing them now.

I layered up a bunch of patterned papers and vellum die cuts. And I also misted on the background to create some interest.

I added some Thickers that weren't included in the original kit for the word "Helper" and I just love that tiny polka dot!

As usual, I gave my photos a white border, because it helps the photos to stand out. I was also able to use some of those super cute puffy stickers from Gossamer Blue! Yay!

I'll admit that I struggled a bit with this layout, but I love how it came out in the end. If you'd like to watch the struggle, you can head over to my YouTube channel or right here:
