Collection Disconnection #4 - Cook Boys

Hello! I have the fourth installment of my Collection Disconnection series to share with you today. Up until now, I've used photos with children in them, but today I wanted to show you how you can use grown up photos with the childhood Wonder collection from Crate Paper.

I used a photo of my dad & brother and uncle & cousin. I kept it simple with a vertical, symmetrical design and I'm really pleased with the outcome.

That deer head was perfect for this layout (watch the video to see why!) and the corrugated alphabet was a nice touch too.

Stars are quite a universal icon and I think that even the puffy stars work here without feeling too juvenile.

Huge paint splatters were a final touch, and even though they got a little out of control, I think they were just what this layout needed.

If you want to see the whole layout come together, check out the process video on my YouTube channel or watch it below:

As always, I've linked to all available products below.

Yesterday my class, Photo Triage: Vacation Photos, went live. Until Tuesday, August 25, 2015, you can get the class for $15, but after that it goes up to $20, so be sure to hop on that deal if you are interested. I am giving away two spots to the class - one here on my blog and one on Instagram (@craftyjenschow). Check out yesterday's post for details!

Thanks for stopping by!
