Inspired By...Jill Sprott

Good news! Juliet Sherriff and I are back with our popular "Inspired By..." series on YouTube! We are going back to our every other Sunday schedule. Today, we're taking inspiration from the fabulously talented Jill Sprott.

I have been an admirer of Jill's since her Garden Girl days at Two Peas in a Bucket. She has a bright, fun style and her layouts are full of contrast, detail, and amazing journaling. I took inspiration from her most recent blog post and came up with this:

I love that it uses so many photos. I often use a single photo or a few photos to tell my stories, but this layout was perfect for using a bunch. I decided to document a day out with my husband for his birthday. It was one of the funnest days we've had together in a while.

We did lots of fun things and Philip even tried to prove he was still young by running past a speed clock a la Michael from The Office. He promptly threw out his back and spent the rest of the evening on the couch. Hilarious.

I love the way the layout turned out. The black stitching really draws attention to the photos and I even like the way my messy handwriting looks for the captions.

If you want to see how this layout came together you can watch the process here:

I've linked to all of the products I've used below, and where they weren't available, I've linked to alternatives. As always, thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out Juliet's take on Jill Sprott!
